The whole day was kind of a shit show. My really unseasoned friend tangled up two of my spinning reels with wind knots. One I couldn’t fix on the boat the other I had to cut out and retie. I also had to cast for him a few times and give him a lesson on setting the hook. Between fixing his gear and messing with my faulty trolling motor I mostly just jigged with matrix shad on 3/8 oz with my Daiwa tatula 100. Threw a double rig when we were on the white trout. By the time I made my way back up towards the rock dam it was already 10. A lot of time was wasted yesterday. Too many “last casts” and messing around with equipment. We hit about 6-7 spots. When I fished by myself I usually do 10+
