I also looked at Grand Isle vs Shell Beach and the water never got high. It was lower at Shell Beach and about normal at Grand Isle.
Probably because of the SW wind.
Even if it did rise, the salinity just goes right back out with the storm surge, as evidenced here and here.
I also watch the turbidity sensors, but mostly for the river. That helps me determine how green she is (or not).
Otherwise, I would only lightly factor those in for redfish, because wherever the sensor is could be dirty water, and redfish could be piled in the clear stuff on the other side of a grass mat, and the sensor would never read that because it’s not there.
