I think getting out of Tiger/Grand and off the river was the move to do. I’m guessing it was rough and a wet-ish ride. But worth it.
I’m glad you found them. Sometimes during winter there tends to be a bite later in the day. Old timers told me it was because it gave the fish time to warm up. I’m not so sure about that, because I’ve definitely caught old school limits of 50+ trout first thing in the morning on ridiculously cold mornings after a cold front. But sometimes it’s worth to stay out all day.
Do you think those trout were chewing at the front of PaL all day?
