That stretch of river between Venice and Head of Passes is shallower on the west side. The deep channel the ships use is on the east side and is marked by buoys. It can be as shallow as 2-3ft on the west side. It’s really just a big flat and I think fish could get on it when it gets colder. I’ve definitely graphed fish and bait balls on it and saw loons eating there in years past.
