Yeah, I have a friend in Florida who poked himself on a hook that had been out of the water for days and got a mean bacterial infection. He’s a sailor in his late 30s and he still had to get surgery, antibiotics, etc.
It just happens. Definitely a risk that comes with enjoying the water. Y’all stay safe.
