I thought I replied to this. Man, I’ve just been busy like a one-legged man in an ass kicking contest. So here’s my experience:
I’ve fished those shorelines and sometimes caught fish against them. I really haven’t given them my full focus when the conditions are good, it seems I’ve hit them whenever the day is dragging on, it’s hot and I’m looking frantically for fish.
I think it could be a good topwater spot first thing in the morning. I’m not sure when I’ll get the chance to try, as there are a zillion other new places in Louisiana I’d want to try first.
But if I were you and if I planned to fish that area, I would definitely try those shorelines over a period of time. Sometimes a spot/area just needs extra effort to learn when/how it turns on.
There are plenty of places I’ve fished that have turned on with great action, but are absolutely dead at other times.
