I run all Lowrance and enjoy them. My suggestion would be to get bigger than a 7”. 9” is about the smallest I would want to go.

There are some websites out there like https://www.bassfishinelectronics.com/ and https://www.russellmarineproducts.com/?srsltid=AfmBOoqWGgkTn_tzsp3fpz0S-ZtJssCk3l7pqMBY9a8VNEJGsjuRKu-D where you can buy demo units, lightly used units, or factory refurbished units. You can get them at a discount price and I promise you that you won’t know the difference.

I have two 9” HDS Live units that I got from each of those websites for $1000 a piece (compared to about $1700 new). This was even before the HDS pro came out.

Another cool thing they offer, which I’ve done, is you can trade in your old graph and they’ll give you some trade in money for it. I traded in my elite FS9 to upgrade to the HDS and they gave me a $400 credit for it.

Just throwing that out there if you haven’t gotten one yet.
