Watch Capt Devin’s Youtube – I’m sure there’s more than one comment to the effect of “boat flip or die” and probably also one or too of “dangit Devin – I knew I should’ve grabbed the net!”

If it’s going to heartbreak you to lose it at the boat, use the net – just have it ready for use and net as quickly as possible. My personal method – if it feels/looks less than 18″, I’m flipping. If it’s bigger/pulling drag, I’m running for the net.
