    Make sure your power supply amperage is 20 percent or more than your gps’s amperage draw For example if your pulling 6amps you would want at least an 8 amp power supply. Also make sure it’s 12v. Amperage is key not enough amps and it will burn out power supply. Not to be confused with the amperage from your wall outlet which is irrelevant when using a converter.
