It sounds like you did your best. I wasn’t there, but if you weren’t drifting, then try that next time. If you’re drifting faster than 1mph, then consider getting a drift sock. Gus’s Tackle in Slidell can rig one up for you, if that’s near to you. Any good tackle store can point you in the right direction.
