I have no idea how the newer GoPros fare versus the Osmo. If you have to ask then I’m assuming there’s a lot of camera work you don’t know and that what would be best for you would be just to get what’s cheapest to save your $$$. Then film with it as much as you can. Just do stuff around the backyard or something and play with all the settings and learn it inside out before taking it on the water.
Filming is a lot of fun and I’m sure either brand would be a good choice.
