“The water clarity didn’t seem to matter. They were eating.”
That’s what I saw in Delacroix today and yesterday.
“Our wives were already not thrilled we went fishing today”
The wind is laying down and there’s a 1ft tide, what do they expect?!
“Another thing to note, with the water temp hovering around 60 degrees, I thought sure the trout would be stacked up deep somewhere. But every trout we caught was in 2-4 ft of water with deep water nearby. Maybe they got up on the flats to warm up.”
Yeah, and not just 60 degrees, but 60 after a hard drop. Again, same thing in Delacroix. It’s just wild how they weren’t acting like a cold front just plowed through.
Anyway, I definitely want to film west of the river, and had designs on Venice to do that, but now that the river is up, I am thinking that’s no longer a go. I’m looking hard at MG because it’s closer than running all the way from Lafitte. Of course, I’d like to get to Dularge! That’s gotta be turning on as well.
Either way, great report, thanks for posting it!
