Well, quick back story. I was invited to go on a Tuna fishing charter from a contracting company that does work for my company. The trip was originally scheduled for this Thursday the 7th but has been pushed to Monday the 11th because of the storm. We are going to spend the night at Cypress Marina Sunday and head out Monday morning for the charter. So, I was going to just make a trip out of Sunday and leave Slidell early and fish as long as I wanted to, but now, unfortunately, I discovered my boats haul has a crack in it! Not sure how it happened, the boats only a little over a year old and I’ve never hit anything, beached it, or smacked the trail hard enough to cause it. Long story short, the haul is under a limited lifetime warranty, I’ve already contacted Avid about it and got that ball rolling with them to get it fixed. Fingers and toes crossed it can get fixed sooner than later. I’m pretty bummed about it, but you know what, I’m still going on the tuna fish charter and I’m super stoked about it.
