    Thanks guys for the responses.

As far as my plan goes— it is pretty much mirroring what I initially had planned for my trip in September on 9/22 when Devin referred to me as the tip of the spear. Well the spear is back baby!

I have about 2.5 days to fish Venice, so I plan to do a lot of exploring. A lot of it. My planning has been mostly routes to and through general areas, so I don’t have all that many spots to show, but I know that in no particular order I want to check out the following areas: Red Pass and West out into Scofield Bay, The Jump, Tiger Pass and Ponds off there, Grand Pass, Zin Zin Bay, First Spillway, Williams Pass, Baptiste Collette Rocks on the MS River side, Wagon Wheel, and other random cuts in the river that look good (how vague!). I will post a pic of some spots I planned for 9/22, but I think what will end up happening is that I will get to the area I want to fish, then find a spot that looks good once I get out there.

Question: I am going with the goal to catch speckled trout and redfish, but another goal is to get more routes stored in my graph. When running a new route in a sketch area like Venice, are you idling pretty much the entire way? Even through a big wide open bay where you gotta run a few miles? Also, I know that the mouths of the canals are where it can get really shallow. Are you idling through pretty much all of those too? I hate long ass extended idles, but I know its worth it based off the fact that I would like to keep my lower unit intact, but also because I have plenty of time to make these long idles since I am staying down there for the weekend.

    Let me know!
