This post has changed from me looking for somewhere to bring my trailer for service, to me repairing it myself.
I replaced the two bunks for the keel of the boat, adjusted the bunks as good as possible with the limited adjustments on the trailer.
While replacing these bunks I noticed my brake pads were looking rough so I decided to order everything I needed.(I knew my brakes needed attention). Since my trailer has integrated hubs/rotors I had to replace the entire hub/rotor just to change the rotors, so I changed out the bearings as well. I Purchased the stainless version of the brake pads while I was at it since the steel pads rust and separate from the backing plate. $800, 2 days of working on it, and a sunburn later, I have working trailer brakes. I still need to bleed them a little more but I towed the boat yesterday and you can certainly tell the difference
Let this be a PSA for everyone, check your trailer brakes, hubs and bunks. This trailer is only 4 years old and not used that frequently.
All 4 wheels, 8 pads had detached from their back plates… it’s amazing it didn’t catch fire from rubbing.
