Water was nice and calm on my run there. Easy as cake for my 17.5 aluminum bass tracker. Not exactly the same on the way back, got beat the heck up.
That run ain’t no joke in a boat like that. I like the Viking spirit.
Yeah, it was supposed to be calm all day IIRC, because I had planned to launch the boat to film a dredge operation and powerlines.
I was shocked to see that it was rough when driving across the Twin Span. It was calmer on the west side of the lake, but the wind did pick up.
On the way back, shrimp were everywhere in the marsh, jumping in the boat even!
That is great news. Let’s get these fish fed. Maybe we’ll have another 2016. That would be amazing.
You did great. Redfish have been generally hard to come by. So for your first “serious” sight fishing trip I would say that you kicked ass (then got yours kicked on the way back lol)
