I have a Gopro 12, GoPro hero 4k, a DJI action 4.

GoPro Hero 4K is absolute garbage! its a cheap option not worth buying, it has built in battery and is not really rated for outdoor, but is an action camera. I have sent one back 3 times for repair, finally GoPro replaced it with a Go Pro 12. I used one for my last video and the quality shows it. poor quality.

GoPro 12 is a great camera, I have 3 batteries for it. it does get hot in summer gotta keep it cool. video files are usually separated in 20 minute files.

DJI action 4, is by far my favorite camera to use, only thing I don’t like about it is it divides the files into 3-5 minute long video files, so long format videos require you to import 90ish files for 3 to 4 hours of video footage. but it has been reliable, right now this camera is being repaired from water damage, DJI repair times and Customer service is awesome FWIW. it doesn’t overheat as easily as go pro and its price point is around $250. Good option to start with, just gotta keep it dry unless you get a water proof case.
