Man, I wish you would’ve given us more heads up than this. Hope you did well.

FWIW, next time you have conditions this good, and given the level of experience/skill you’ve demonstrated through your fishing reports, you’re better off focusing your TOW somewhere other than Hopedale.

Hopedale is the ugly fat chick no one asks to prom. On days like today, bag the prom queen.

Yeah, the tide isn’t that great, but overcast conditions are the best to fish for speckled trout, in my experience.

I’d look hard at Pointe a la Hache, especially when the river comes up. The reason being that people are not going to go down there to pressure what you find.

People will 1,000% pressure Hopedale. Oh, you found some fish at the Rock Dam? Great, within 24 hours there will be some YouTuber filming his 1,863,965th video there. Then the Flotilla will arrive because everyone knows how to get there.

But people are scared of PLH. Most “saltwater fishermen” are limp-wristed pussies. Take advantage of that. Higher quality and quantity trout are always nearer river water.

I could tell people to fish Third Bay and they’d puss out just because it’s not somewhere they’re familiar with. They need their hand held. You don’t.

    Go get the prom queen.
