I am kicking myself in the ass so hard for that because I should know that. I actually use that feature when fishing shallow for speckled trout (like 18-24 inches). I should’ve thought to check that. In all fairness, on my graphs the sonar screen will not show if sonar is turned off. So when I saw that there was still a broken-ish, crap image on the screen, I figured it was a hardware failure because I’ve seen that before on my Helix 10. I shoulda thought of that anyway. Too bad, because we really coulda put that to work at that A-spot that we deleted off his Helix.
My guess is that the firmware on his Helix 7 is different. Probably old. lol
