I bass fished in Venice last weekend and it was difficult at best with the river being high. I’ve fished Venice for many years and the old timers are pretty spot on the river dictates the bite, the river needs to come down some more to fish the Roseau canes because the bass are back in the cane feeding. If you want to fish the canals they’re doable. I’d try camp canal and the canal behind Venice marina to start. After that you can try off of Tiger pass the first canal on the right out of the marina headed south, this is where the old judge Perez camp used to be until it burnt a bunch of years ago. The best recipe is to wait a little later in July maybe August but it all depends on old man river. BTW, a falling tide is definitely better than a rising. Good luck
