    I always use an 1/8th or 1/16th, because 1/4 and 3/8 are better suited for straight jig fishing. IMO! and also if your throwing a cork regardless of weight your lure is still getting in the same strike zone because of the leader length. and also usually when you buy a pack of jigs there is more 1/8th oz or 1/16 oz jigs in a pack than the 1/4 or 3/8. I make my own jigs now so I’m not so concerned about cost of jigs and how many I have. I’ll use a little heavier of a jig with a cork only if the water is super rough, but also try to avoid those conditions.
