I do similar to you. I run 30 lbs braid with a 2 to 3′ 30 lbs flurocarbon leader tied with a uni to uni. I use an improved clinch not to the cork. I use a 20 lb (I would rather have this pop than above my cork) flurocarbon leader from 18-30″ depending on where I’m fishing, tied on both ends via improved clinch. Usually I have a Marker 54 jerk shrimp or a death grip with whatever bait I’m feeling on it.
